The Music for Youth Regional Festival Series takes place from February through to April each year, bringing together large numbers of young musicians and singers in festival venues all over the country. Regional Festivals offer a unique opportunity for groups to perform to new audiences, listen to other groups from their area and get valuable feedback from the team of MFY Music Mentors. Most of Music for Youth’s Regional Festivals are oversubscribed – a brilliant testament to music education in our country. This means we need to be clear to our partners about how MFY allocates performance slots at our festivals. This document aims to clarify the process that MFY undertakes when allocating places to groups who will perform in the Regional Festival Series.
