Work Experience with Music For Youth

We offer young people (aged 16 - 21) the opportunity to work with us on and at events. This not only gives young people the opportunity to learn new skills, it also gives them the opportunity to experience first-hand what goes into making a national event.

Previous roles have included:

  • On-the-day event staff
  • Reporters for live events
  • Podcasters and video interviews
  • Blog writers
  • Social media roles

If you're a young person looking for work experience with music and events we would love to hear from you! Drop us an email at mfy@mfy.org.uk . All roles are paid at National Minimum Wage for your age bracket (based on employment pay not internship pay).

The REMIX Podcast

We hired Deanna to interview artists and musicians throughout our Festival week for REMIX 2021, to create a new podcast series with four episodes. These episodes are published weekly on Spotify, Apple podcasts and Soundcloud.

If you're a budding podcast host we would love to hear from you for season 2. Drop us an email at mfy@mfy.org.uk

Blog Writing and Written Interviews

Meg joined us for REMIX Festival week 2021, to write about her favourite items from the video wall, and to interview artists and musicians for the video wall. You can read some of the blogs she created on our News section.

Social Media

Billy worked with us for a week, creating posts for social media, live tweeting, creating Instagram stories and reacting to messages and comments.
