The UK's Largest Youth Music Festival!

Regional Festival 2023

Everyone’s invited to take part in the UK’s largest youth music festival!

This year the Music for Youth Regional Festival will take place between February and April in over 30 locations nationwide. This is the first festival as part of our annual season, and we are planning to welcome 30,000 young musicians to take part in performances across the UK.

The Regional Festival is free to take part in and open to any type of group, style of music, and standard of playing. We only ask that you're a group of two or more musicians, aged 21 or under.

The Regional Festival is a fantastic chance for young musicians to perform and share their music, listen to performances from other groups, meet other musicians and gain expert advice from professional musicians and music educators: our Music Mentors.

If you attend a Regional Festival or submit a recording as part of the Regional Festival (please sign up to Mentor on Call if you wish to submit a recording rather than attend a live event), you will be invited to attend the 2023 National Festival – look out for more information soon.

Other Ways to Get Involved

Book a Mentor on Call Session

Our Music Mentors are the ‘eyes and ears’ of Music for Youth, feeding back on performance standards, making recommendations for progression opportunities within our programme, giving expert advice via our new ‘Mentor on Call’ scheme. Mentor on Call can take the form of private sessions with teachers, with teachers and their performance groups, or with individual students.

“The best part of the session was feeling like I was worth being invested in and just knowing that I could connect and vibe with someone who was a professional and so much more established and senior in the field!! It was really validating and so much fun as well!!”- Young Musician, Participant
